Finally an update on the Jarrett family!!!

So here it goes......... I know it has been over a year since I have last made a post!!! I am so bad at this but I'm going to try to update you on a few of the things that have gone on in our life this past year.

Last April we were toying with the idea of buying a new house so we looked at some and then decided that maybe first we should see if we could even sell our house. We put it up for sale and a week and a half later we had sold it! Wow! That was just crazy to us! We had no idea that our house would have sold that fast or we would have first found a house so we would have had somewhere to live. So we were homeless but not really because Bobby and I both have wonderful parents that offered their homes to us. So we were off to living at Bobby's parents house until we could find the one for us. I am not going to lie, I hated trying to find a house. It is just so hard to find the perfect house!! I swear everything never matches up.....is it in our price range, is it in the right area, what schools would our kids be going to, how many beds and baths does it have, is the basement finished and so on and so on and so on....... I think I would have liked it a little better if we had all the time in the world to look at houses but I was 6-7 months pregnant and I didn't want to bring a newborn baby home to my in laws house. That would just not be very nice of us. :)

Then on May 28th Bobby decides to go play basketball with some friends one evening. A couple hours later I get a call from him saying he had broke his ankle!!! Are you kidding!!! Lets add some more stress to our already stressful life. I ran to the ER to meet him and his left ankle was totally dislocated and his foot was literally at a right angle!! Ya it was bad! Then they had to do surgery on it and they put a metal plate and 4 screws in it. It defiantly was a wild time, but we actually were glad to be living at Bobby's parents house because I don't know how I would have been able to take care of him and Annabelle while being 7 months pregnant. Thank you Mary and Al! I couldn't have done it without ya!

Finally in June we found a house! Finally a house I loved with everything I wanted and in our price range! It's in West Layton and in the same subdivision as Bobby's brother Scott and his sister Julie. We also are really close to my brother Brady and my sister Tana who live in Syracuse too. We really love it here and we love having family so close by. Annabelle loves being able to have her cousin Mya in her nursery class at church. They have had lots of fun together.

Then, the most exciting news of all, on August 19th our sweet baby Jane joined our family! She was born at 1:59 am after 7 hours of labor (which was so much better than Annabelle's 16 hours of labor) and was 7lb 6oz 20 in long. Jane looks a lot like Annabelle when she was a baby but they definitely have their own personalities. We are so happy this sweet baby girl could join our family and Annabelle loves her new little sister! Jane is such a little live wire. Right when Jane was born she could lift her head and was always moving. She isn't my cuddly baby like Annabelle was but still a sweet, happy little one. She moves so much she learned to roll over at 3 1/2 months! Now at 5 months she is army crawling everywhere!!! Crazy huh! She is just a little determined one and is probably going to walk soon I swear!!! Jane just had her 4 month Dr appointment and she weighed 12 lb 2 oz which makes her only in the 10th percentile . She is just a little one and it's probably because she moves all the time. Annabelle is such a good big sister and loves to make her laugh. If she is sad she gives her toys and tries everything to make her happy. But there are those moments when I hear Jane cry and I see Annabelle trying to ride on her back like she does with daddy, but I guess that is just what big sisters do. :) It gets kind of crazy being a mom of two now but I love it and it is always an adventure!

Oct 16th Annabelle turned 2 years old! I can't believe I have a two year old now! She is such a sweet, loving girl. Some of her favorite things to do is sing, dance with Mommy and Daddy, play tea party and Cuddle on the couch with Daddy while they share a bowl of fish crackers together. She is so polite and always says please and thank you, and the best thing of all is when she says "I love you Mommy"! That just makes all the hard times of being a mom worth it!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Annabelle was so much fun this year. She got so excited when she got her presents and she would say "Oh Thank you!" I love the Christmas season and I loved all the parties and hanging out with the family. I would say we definitely had a good, crazy fun year.

Exciting News!

So most of you probably won't even read this because as you all can tell I have officially given up on blogging. I am just horrible at it but. I want to post some exciting things that are happening in our lives. So Bobby is now a Master (as he likes to call himself and would love for me to call him that). He officially has received his Masters degree in accounting from Weber State!! He finished in December and this is one of the best days of our lives! It has been a long road and now it is over! I'm am so proud of him for all his hard work and dedication he has put into his schooling. Good job Honey you are awesome!! Also another exciting thing going on is that I am pregnant!! I am eight weeks along and due August 20th. Pretty crazy huh! It took us like a year to get pregnant with Annabelle and we weren't even really trying with this one and just like that I'm pregnant! Annabelle will be a month and a half away from being two so they will be pretty close in age, but it will be fun for them to be close in age because they can be little friends. I can't believe Annabelle will be a big sister because she just seems too little to be the big one! We really are excited and I can't wait to find out what we are having. Bobby is convinced that it is another girl, but I think he just says that so he won't get his hopes up on having a boy. Well it's another new year and time for some new adventures :) !!

It was Annabelle's Birthday Oct 16th and I am finally posting it!! (What a horrible mother I am!!) Well anyway, Annabelle is one!! I can't believe it!! My little baby girl is growing up! We had her birthday party at my parents house and had lots of fun. Annabelle loved opening her presents! She didn't want me to take the present she opened away to give her the next. Doesn't she looks so happy...

Annabelle didn't really dig into the cake like I thought she would. We stripped her down naked ready to get all messy but, that didn't happen. I had to put her hands into it but she didn't like it and tried to get it off. I guess she is just a girly girl who doesn't like to get all dirty!

I thought I would give her a spoon to see if she would dig in with that but then she just wanted to share her cake with everyone else. (What a sweet little girl :))

I know you all think I'm a crazy, anal first time mother but I don't give Annabelle any sugar, so I made her a sugarless cake. It took me forever to make but, I think it turned out pretty good.

Well I hope Annabelle had a fun first birthday! We sure did! We love you baby girl! Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins for all the great gifts and for joining us on this special day!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is such a fun holiday! I love dressing up, going through Spook Alleys and carving pumpkins! We had a really fun Halloween this year. We went to a few parties before Halloween like my parents, the ward party and our friends Dave and Joni. We had fun at them all! On Halloween night we went to our friends Lindsey and Jeremiah's house for a barbecue and then we went out trick or treating. Even though Annabelle can't eat all the candy yet, I think she had a fun time!

I was Dorthy, Bobby was the Scarecrow and Annabelle was the lion from the Wizard of OZ!

I Love NYC!

So I have been back from my trip to NYC almost 2 weeks now and I am finally posting my pics!! I am soooo bad! Oh well... so here they are!

We (Annabelle and I) had so much fun!! It was a girls trip to the big city! My Mom, my sisters Tana and Kami, my niece Baya, Kami's sister-in-law Kris and her little girl Rylee is all who got to go. Kris works for Jet Blue so she hooked us up with some great flights and she has been to NYC many times so she was our tour guide too. I actually have been to NYC two times before but, I have no idea how to get around by the subway so luckily Kris knew what she was doing or we would have gotten lost many times!! So thanks Kris for being our tour guide! You did a great job!

Fall is Here!

I love fall! I love the crisp cool air, the changing leaves and the fun fall fashions! It's just a fun time of the year. It's Bobby's favorite time too. Not really for the same reasons as mine, but for the start of the football season. If you know Bobby at all then you know that he is a football nut! From the end of one football season to the beginning of the next, I hear him say, "I can't wait until football starts again!" " Just this many (months or days) until football starts!". I'm not going to lie. I hate football!! I really wish I did. I just don't enjoy it, but I try to be really good at letting him watch games especially if it is his team playing (Seattle Seahawks). Unfortunately (but fortunately for me) we don't have TV right now so he doesn't get to see all of the games he would like to see, but we do usually get to see the Sunday ones because we end up at his parents or mine watching as many games as possible! Even though I don't really care for football, it's fun that Bobby has that enthusiasm about football and fall. It makes this time of the year even more fun and exciting!

Annabelle is going to be walking soon because she has been walking around anything she can get a hold of. So, we got this walker from a friend and she just loves it! It is so funny to watch her walk with it. She is so happy to be free to walk anywhere except when she runs into the wall or something in the way. Then she just freaks out and starts screaming because she can't move anymore until I move it so she can walk again! It is too funny! As Bobby put it, "I guess our child does not work well with adversity!"

I just made these for Annabelle so I decided to put them on her and take a picture. I stood her right there in front of the couch table and she turned and smiled. She kept smiling and posing like that for the whole time I had the camera there! What can I say, she is just our little model! :)

LITTLE TROUBLE MAKER

Annabelle is everywhere and loves to get into everything! I left this cupboard unlocked so she can play with the tupperware but she sure makes a mess!

BABY'S GOT A NEW GRILL!

Annabelle is no longer our little vampire! All four top teeth have now broke through! I love them!! I think she looks too cute and so big with her new pearly whites!

Update!

I know that I have been such a slacker at updating my blog but we finnally got internet and I will try to update it more often!!

Well our little Annabelle is getting so big! She is now crawling, and has been pulling herself up on everything and walking around anything she can get a hold of! She is very busy and into everything! We finnally baby proofed our house.

This is a funny picture of a time when I was doing laundry and left the room to put some clothes away and Annabelle grabbed my sports bra and put it over her head! She is too silly and fun!

Annabelle's hair has gotten so long! I am able to put them in pigtails and I love it!! Doesn't she look like a big girl with her hair that way?

We love to visit daddy at work! Doesn't he look so cute in his T-Mobile clothes!:)

LITTLE LADY

As you all know I just love to brag how adorable Annabelle is (but don't all mothers do that with their kids?! :)). So, I decided to put Annabelle in a baby contest. Bobby is funny because he thinks that baby contests are horrible and creepy, but I convinced him that they are fine and it will be fun. So, he gave in and we went back to my good home town Sunset and put her in the Sunset Days baby contest. It was a lot of fun and low and behold Annabelle won!!

She won Little Lady in her age group (6-12 months)!! And of course I was a proud little mommy! (she looks pretty happy about it too huh?) :)

She got to be in the Sunset Days parade the next day and had lots of fun showing off her tiarra! :)

OUR BABY VAMPIRE

So Annabelle has been getting some of her teeth in this past month and she has been pretty good about it. So first she got her two bottom front teeth in at the same time and I thought that that was pretty crazy; but then her top left cannine tooth broke through! It is too funny! She looks like a little vampire baby! When she smiles really big you can see it and it just makes us laugh! My friend Joni that is a Dental Hygenist looked it up to see when she should get that tooth in, and she said it shouldn't have come in until she was 20 to 22 months old!! Crazy huh! Maybe she got it in so fast because I read all those Twilight books to her when she was a tiny baby! :)

Well, maybe she will get the right cainine in just in time for Halloween and be a complete vampire! :)

I haven't been able to post anything for a while because I haven't been watching my niece and my sister has the Internet and I don't. So I haven't been able to do my blogging so here is an update of what has been going on lately.....

On the 24th of June it was South Ogden days and some of my friends and I decide to run the 5k. I didn't train at all so I'm not going to tell you my time :)! But we really did have a good time

On Monday July 30th my sisters Tana, Wendy and I, with all our kids, went to Timpanogos Cave. It was lots of fun and an adventure! We forgot what a big hike it was to get to the cave because we hadn't been there since we were little, so we defiantly got a workout!

On Wed June 2nd, my sister-in-law Amy and I brought our cute little girls, Mya and Annabelle, to the Clearfield Aquatic Center. We had such a great time! Annabelle loved there little swings she could sit in.

The 4th of July!

On the 4th we hung out with our friends Jeremiah, Lindsie, Brian, Keri and Lindsies' family. In the morning Bobby had to work so Annabelle and I went to the Cherry Days Parade.

After the parade we went to Lindsies' parents house and went swimming, had a barbecue and did fireworks. Bobby met up with us later for the food and fireworks. We really had such a great time. We are Proud to be Americans!!

Getting ready to crawl!

Our little Belle is getting so big! She just started a few days ago getting from the sitting position to the crawling position! Annabelle learned how to sit up around five and half months and since then has been happy and content to just sit and play with her toys. If a toy was ever out of reach she would stretch for it for a second and then just give up. Now she is a little more determined to get that toy that has gotten away from her. She starts by reaching and stretching for the toy then rocks back and forth until she gets to her hands and knees, but then when she starts to go forward she falls down right on to her belly. It's so much fun to watch her practice her new little trick! Once she gets the idea of staying on her hands and knees to crawl, I know I am in loads of trouble! She is going to be everywhere!! I need to start baby proofing our house because once she starts to crawl she could defiantly get into some dangerous things, so that's my next project. Annabelle is getting such a fun personality and learning so much each day! Being a Mom is the best and I'm loving every minute of it!

I got Bobby Annabelle's hands for fathers day. Aren't they so cute! You can see every little nuckle dimple and little arm roll. They turned out so good. Their is a girl in my ward that does these hand castings and I thought it would be a great idea for fathers day! Bobby loved them and was excited that I captured her little hands for him. We were so lucky that she had her one hand open so we can see each of cute little fingers. The girl who did them said that it is really rare to get babies to do that and she has only seen it one other time. That's our girl! She is just so smart and does nothing but the best!! ;)

Fathers Day

This was Bobby first real fathers day because last year, as Bobby likes to say, he was just a father to a fetus. So this year he is a real full out Dad! :) I think that it turned out to be a really nice Fathers Day. It was sunny and nice outside so we got to enjoy barbecues with both our fathers. I just love hanging out with our families! I have a wonderful father that has done such a great job raising me and is such a spiritual giant. I have learn so much from him in my life. I also have a awesome father-in-law who is a man with many talents and also raised a wonderful son by his great example. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband that is such a great dad! I know that he loves Annabelle so much and would do anything for her. Aren't I the luckest girl in the whole world to have such a sweet, loving husband! He's not too bad to look at either huh?! :) I love you honey and I hope you had a great day!!

My summer job

This summer I am watching my niece for my sister. Her name is Taylor and she is 9 yrs old. I go to my sisters house which is in Perry (right next to Brigham City) to watch her. It takes about a half hour to get there, but its really not too bad of a drive. Taylor is such a sweet and helpful girl and is really easy to watch. She helps me out with Annabelle alot so I can get a few things done (like this blog!) :). I also have a couple friends that live in Brigham City, Lindsay and Cherice, and we had a playdate at the park on monday. We had alot of fun and I think we might try to make it a weekly routine. This is a pic of them together. Aren't they cute! Don't you just love Annabelle's cute grandma, cheesy smile!

Bobby is the biggest Seattle Seahawks fan ever!! So when we visited Seattle in August of 2007 we had to get Annabelle a Seahawks outfit. So during the football season Bobby and Annabelle had to wear their outfits to cheer on and show their intense love for their team. This is a pic showing their fanhood.

Annabelle has finally graduated to the big girl tub! She is getting so big and such a cute personality! She will be 8 months on the 16th of June. Time goes by so fast! Don't you love how the little duck is so strategically placed! Bobby doesn't allow totally nude pictures so I had to be creative! :) She is such a joy in our life and makes everything so much fun and interesting.
